Wise Decisions & the ASun
I am so thankful that Belmont has had some visionary leadership and stable coaching. Without that, we wouldn't be D1 or off of the sinking ASun ship.

Have you all seen what is going on with the ASun. ETSU and Mercer are leaving as well. That conference is quickly distilling down to something less than half of what it was when we joined (in terms of quality). Thank goodness for the OVC and our leadership getting a deal done!

Now you have Lipscum sitting on a ship that is going straight down. Maybe Casey will sell it as an easy place to make the NCAAs, which it should turn out to be. Basically the ASun is now:

Lipscum, Kennesaw St., Jacksonville, North Florida, FGCU, USC-Upstate, Stetson, and Northern Kentucky....OUCH!! That is brutal travel for DLU. Any rumblings on their future fate?

Kennesaw is out as soon as someone invites them (Big South). FGCU and UNF are looking at scholarship football now that ETSU and Mercer did it.
Indirectly, you guys helped us land in a better spot. We'll suffer through this last year then move on.

There has been talk on the Horizon League Fans forum about the HL (at least its fans) coveting Northern Kentucky.
