Before we all Pounce on GA, I get what he is saying (though I don't think I agree with how he handled it, I found that condescending). If I walk into a restaurant in the metro and see a bunch of SEC **** on the walls and no Tiger stuff, then I am under the assumption I'm not welcome in said establishment. And that's cool, it's their prerogative, just as it's my prerogative to spend my hard earned TigerDollars somewhere that serves Blue Kool-Aid.

The BBQ was not bad, but it was not good either. It completely escapes me as to why it is featured on a show other than maybe the people down there and producers don't know good BBQ, and maybe the people are tv interesting.

But while the place was mostly overrun with $EC stuff (Bama flag, mrs sippy stuff (and fair enough in state and the owner is an alum)

But even at that they had an old Memphis State tin above our table

It has nothing to do with BBQ....it's a Duck Dynasty "reality" knockoff. That being said, I think they won MIM this year.

I live about 5 minutes from that place, tried it once, just not a fan. Everything was way to sweet. I don't get what the big deal about it is.

GA, does your doctor or dentist office have your school represented. If you are being operated on, do you make damn sure the surgeon is wearing Memphis Blue scrubs, in the correct color?

That might have some relevance..... IF BARTLETT WERE IN FREAKING BIRMINGHAM, ALA-FREAKING-BAMA!!!

WTF?

Again, it is TOTALLY IDIOTIC to compare a McDonald's in Atlanta GA to a less corporate restaurant in the actual metro area of the university in question. Now, if Mr. Latty had asserted that his McDs in Atlanta didn't rep the Atlanta Falcons, but instead had a bunch of Cowboy's jerseys and Pittsburgh Steelers gear all over the place, he might be coming close to having a parallel situation.

If it was truly relevant that a restaurant must have the schools of their patrons represented in order to be considered good, then if I am a patron, my school should be there too.

Bit the point is it doesn t matter.

I went to Erlings last week. NOT ONE Tiger pennant on the wall. No autographs of Deangelo or Penny. Food was great, but I will never go back b/c of lack of Memphis Tiger stuff.

Like I asked in a previous thread, are we still boycotting Kroger?

We need to sticky a list of places to boycott.

My comment was ridiculous, just like being upset because a business has memorabilia from another local school. That's not an "incident."

My ongoing boycott of every single establishment in the Knoxville metro area is still going strong, FWIW.

I have to hunt and forage all my own food, but I really think I'm getting through to them. Memphis gear will be up in these places in no time.
