I know he's only the interim dean, but I think it's important to note the vocal support for athletics coming from his office. Also good to hear that Watts challenged faculty to show up to games by making it a competition.

Who is it that sets up next to us? School of Opt??? I assume they'll be the winners & the others will be distant. At least they are at most every game & not just an assigned one 04-cheers

I challenge each and every school and administrative unit at UAB to a friendly competition to see who can raise the most money to go directly towards construction of an on campus stadium.

The former School of Natural Science and Mathematics won 3rd place in the homecoming display competition the last year before it was absorbed.

+1...I like the concept, in fact, the effort put forth by fans, the student body & administration at Charlotte University would be an ideal model to follow and utilize...

The problem is, we need all these groups at all the games. Not just homecoming. And we need them to stay for the second half after all the awards have been announced.

Heck, our tailgating group won the float contest one year. That's just sad.
