As long as Greg Davis is your OC, I wouldn't bet on your offense at all... That guy road VYs coat tails and the Colt McCoys...and you don't have either of that kind of talent..and you saw what he did with average qbs(he resigned)

Actually he was fired and it's well documented that it was as a scapegoat for Mack Brown. How's UT's offense been since he left?

Didn't UT average like 30+ points a game last year?

Texas' PPG jumped from 28.1 to 35.7 last year.

Offensive YPG jumped from 393 to 435.

The Hawkeyes will come out strong, amassing a lot of yards, but will struggle to score in the red zone. The Huskies will start slow but chip away at the Hawkeyes and have a big second half.

Still doesn't approach what Davis did from 2007-2009.

The guy knows how to coach.

The offensive game plan in last year's game plan seemed to be designed to protect Jordan. Hopefully this year it will EMPHASIZE his numerous/vast strengths.

Indeed and when Lynch fumbled, we went into the complete offensive turtle.

Coach Dunbar called the plays last year vs Iowa, then he took the LOA. Carey called the plays after that.

Anyone hear how Dunbar is health wise?

Random, but every time I see Ken Bishop now I think of Adrian Clayborn. I think Bishop is going to have a great game against Iowa.

probably not. That is because big bettors like Dog Fan have jumped in and pushe down the line. The Iowa money must not be coming in.

I don't really get Brew's confidence. Most of the Iowa fan base is expecting another down season. As for your QB being impossible to stop....Denarld Robinson never had a good game against us.

Nah, I don't bet. I prefer to spend my money at a certain downtown DeKalb establishment. Even though I am there often, they always enjoy seeing me come.

I don't think JL is impossible to stop, but he is our best player so we expect a lot from him. Denard was also so horrid at QB that they switched him to WR/RB his senior year. Yes, I do know he was injured too, but even once he was healthy they didn't let him throw.

RE: Hawkeye Primer
On the ground, any one player is possible to stop, and the Hawkeye's could certainly be able to stop Lynch. That's why it's so important to see if our new group of WQ's (lost 2 of our best from last year) step and and keep the Iowa D honest. I have to assume our O-line will hold up at least OK...so I think that's the question mark on the NIU O side of the ball. Can the NIU WR's get enough space and make enough catches to keep 8 out of the box on every play.

I don't know the answer...

I think Lynch should come out and toss a few deep balls. This will keep the safeties back and the defense guessing.
