I am not so sure....(Yeah, anything would be better, I guess).

I sure hope that Adidas is paying ND millions for this crap.

They definitely suck, but don't quite suck as bad as last year's uniforms. The helmets from last year were abominable. At least this year's helmet is semi-tolerable - it's more like a kindergartner's rendition of a shamrock pasted on the traditional ND helmet as opposed to the Ed Hardy crossbreeding with a leprechaun nightmare from last year.

Meh -- I like the alternate uniforms from last season better.

I think that they were perhaps the worst things in the history of the universe, including but not limited to the asteroid of 65 million years ago and the Black Death.

I like them. Not a fan of the undershirt though. Generally I think Nike blows Adidas away in the uniform department but these aren't bad.

How much of Brian Kelly's compensation is paid by Adidas? Probably most of it.

Most teams' alternate jerseys are meh at best and cringe-worthy at worst, but when the shoe/apparel companies are paying so much, it is what it is.

Could be much worse -- and those alternate basketball jerseys were much, much worse.

Agreed, and that is much of the problem regarding college football.

The tail (Adidas, ESPN, Fox) wags the dog (the schools). The never ending chase for more cash (at ND and everywhere else) is really a lousy thing, in my opinion.

Are the players going to end up looking like NASCAR drivers with advertising patches covering their uniforms?

Advertising doesn't inherently have to look terrible. I think English Premier League and other top European soccer league uniforms generally manage to look both traditional while still having advertising very clearly on the front. If it's a choice between keeping a traditional look with some advertising versus garish novelty uniforms that are created simply as a blatant attempt to create more types of clothing to sell, I'd rather that teams take the revenue from the former.
