All I know is I'm more sick of hearing about Manziel than I ever was of Tebow. And believe me, I was tired of hearing about Tebow. At least Tebow was doing good things with his fame.

My girlfriend is a die hard Aggie and she is tired of Manziel. He's starting to wear on some of the fan base. Of course there are those there that can see no wrong with him.

RGIII and Tebow handled this amount of pressure much better even if they were 2-3 years older when they won the Heisman.

You guys are setting yourselves up for a fall. I mean, really, do we know what Sly actually looks like to warrant a hot chick being his SO (to him)?
This could end up being abysmal.

We may be seeing the main reason a freshman should never win the Heisman. He has not handled it well it seems.

Yep, Manziel should've followed the rules because those are the rules, just like all of us do --- except of course all those of us who exceed the speed limit because we don't like it. Do as we say, not as we do.

On flip side, the kid sold autographs. Nobody would want his autograph if he sucked.

If coaches, administrators and NCAA execs can profit off the labor of kids, then the kids themselves should be able to profit.

Time to blow up the NCAA and start over.

Okay, I want some thoughts.

TXST has asked a guy (who is now a pro photographer) that has been on the field for games the past 6 season, to take all of his pictures down from Facebook.

There are to be no game, media day or practice photos posted to the social media any longer.

It may come down to me having to remove my own, personal shots. (Ain't happening)

Seems they don't want the guys getting ideas of printing out their pictures (or anyone else doing it) to sell? Are we not overreacting a bit much?

You have to think this is fall out from Manziel.

Excellent point. You're 19 and you feel you have the world at your feet. Think of all the bad decisions you made in your late teens and early twenties! I'm not even sure if it was that bad of a decision. It's against the rules right now but they are actively talking about paying players. We are sending the youth of America a lot of mixed signals.

Don't make excuses for Manziel. He is a redshirt freshman, so basically a sophomore. Mark Ingram won the Heisman and he was only 2 months older than Manziel at the time he won I believe. Being the first Bama player to win it you'd think he would be tempted with the attention and situation like Manziel but he persevered and handled the pressure.

Great point on Mark Ingram. Even though he was not close to the same skill and popularity level as Johnny Football, he handled the spotlight well and remained humble. I'm not sure Manziel even knows what the word humble means.

This isn't fall out from Manziel, this is a perfect example of us overestimating our own value.

There's no market to speak of for Bobcat game photos. But the SID wants to be a hard ass and keep everything under his control.
