More unofficial expansion talk.
Expanding to 40,000 this soon would really shock me, but David Scott (our beat writer) basically regurgitates whatever the SID gives him so it is unlikely he got this anywhere else. Exciting times.
Dude was talking out his a$$, according to NN.N.
David Scott has never said one thing before that he didn't clear with someone in the AD. That said it would be surprising to go straight to 40,000.

I don't believe there have been any renderings beyond 40k.
For most G5 programs 40,000 will be plenty large. If you have plans to enter the ACC then 60,000 would be required.
UNCC has a better chance on getting inviting to join the SEC than it does joining the ACC...as the ACC (and its TV partners) already have the Charlotte TV market locked up...and since practically all expansion additions are TV $$$$ related...UNCC has basically zero shot of ever joining the ACC...unless the ACC loses say 3 out of their 4 North Carolina members.

Nobody is thinking about the SEC and especially not about the ACC. Let's just get our first game ever under our belts and get in CUSA.

The grass is always greener in the neighbor's yard, especially if you have just now seeded your's.
Edit: Your lucky numbers are 2, 14, 23, 29, 38, 41

Alright... no matter how large they expand or if they sell standing room or not... I won a ticket to the inaugural game in the student ticket lottery and I'll be there! *phew*

Congrats! Apparently that's quite the accomplishment. I'll be there as well.

Awesome to hear!!! The University will be absolutely rocking on Saturday too. Looking at temp somewhere between the mid to high 80s at game time.
I'll be starting my morning off with an irish car bomb around 7 am

Wow that looks pretty nice. I'm not a fan of seeing the supports under the seating but overall a great design.
Good luck this year, and welcome to college football.
