WF former site is now occupied by Southeastern Baptist Seminary (or something like that). Remnants of their football stadium are used by Wake Forest HS today. The house (yes house) where WF started still exists as a museum.

Actually there is nothing ironic or quirky about this one. What would be ironic is if Iowa State was in Iowa City.
But since Iowa is actually in Iowa City, Iowa, it actually all makes sense, and really thats all you need to know.

I was waiting for number one to appear. I'm glad it wasn't a ucf fan because of the pissing match that would ensue.
This is wrong. USF is located in Southern Florida. Traditionally, Southern Florida refers to the area where it never frosts, creating a completely different climate for wildlife and crops. As in, pretty much everything south of Gainesville. It's only very recently that anyone moved south of that line in large numbers.

You're forgetting the most basic quirks!
The Big Ten has 14 members, and the Big Twelve has 10 members. Louisville is in the Atlantic Coast Conference, and Colorado is in the Pacific Coast Conference.

Saint Louis University is named after the saint not the city, but it is in the city of St. Louis. Also, you must spell out saint and not abbreviate with a St. like you would do for St. John's, St. Joe's and St. Mary's.

1) Nebraska's original team name was the "Bugeaters".
2) Furman University (S.C.) was originally known as the Furman University Christian Knights. They eventually became the "Paladins", a fancy word for knight.

Syracuse was the first university to have only one official school color in 1890 (orange). Before this, from 1872, the official colors were rose pink and pea green.
Syracuse is the only private school, and one of only five total, to have undisputed football and basketball national championships. The other five are Cal, Florida, Maryland and Ohio State. Villanova has also done this, but their football championship came at the FCS level.
The ACC is one of the top baseball conferences. However only one member, Wake Forest, has actually won a championship as an ACC member. Miami's four national championships all came prior to ACC membership. While Florida State has attended the CWS 21 times, the fourth most of any school, they have never actually won a championship.

Syracuse was number #1 in the AP Poll, UPI Poll, and Coaches Poll in 1959. Some modern computer rankings that take into account a bunch of different stats and numbers are what Ole Miss uses to justify their silly claim. In reality Ole Miss didn't even win the SEC.

Actually it is called that because it was the public university created the furthest south at the time of creation.

The school called the Washington University in St. Louis is not really in St. Louis. The city limit runs up the center of Skinker Ave. Wash U is on the west side of the street and the city is on the east.

Boston College is neither in Boston nor a college.
Jacksonville State is not in Florida.
Oakland University is nowhere near California.
The names of half of the 14 Division I members in Virginia contain a common english language first name.
Only one Division I member uses an official nickname that's inherently female, regardless of whether the men's team or women's team is playing.
