Three football players from Middle Tennessee State University have been suspended from the team, following an altercation Saturday.

Sophomores James De'Angelo "J.D." Jones, Rodney O'Neal and Marcus Robinson were suspended from the team on Saturday.

Jones has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault. His bond is set at $30,000.

O'Neal has been charged with aiding and abetting. He is being held on $20,000 bond.

It is unclear if Robinson has been charged, although MTSU officials confirm he was involved in the incident.

We had a situation like this and it was not what the initial reports made it seem like.

This is an instance where you just hope these guys can get their lives in order and the other parties involved as well.

Every school has kids who get into trouble. It's how the school responds/disciplines that makes the difference and determines if the program has class. Glad to hear the 3 are already indefinitely suspended from the team.

Knuckleheads are no representation of the universities they attend, unless the school allows it, hides it, or ignores it. Not the case here.

Penn St is a perfect example of what not to do. Administrators turned their head away from the problem. MTSU didn't. They dealt with it.

I'm sure TG4 is proud of his team...I just hope it wasn't a domestic assault...he'd have to find someone else to root for...that would be like his 3rd team in 5 years...tough break for a good kid.

Regular students at universities get arrested all the time for the same crap. Those stories are not sexy enough to be covered by the press.

No school is immune to trouble. I think we should all keep that in mind before casting stones at other programs.

Yeah I just googled it. Apparently, many of their fans referred to him as "Standstill" during his time at ECU as OC. lol, that's funny.
