Crazy. THat is probably better than most NFL team's facilities. While I understand it was paid for mostly-if not totally by donations, I wonder how the average student fells about it? I would like to think that at least a portion of the money from a slightly less extravagant facility could have been used to improve existing buildings or for scholarships in areas of REAL education.

$68 million could have paid for our IPF and Yordon Center and still left us with $40 million to do a stadium renovation.

What makes you think that NIU grads are so poor? The major part of alums don't contribute at all or very little to NIU. That doesn't mean they aren't well off. When, or if, pride in NIU is established among the masses, funds will be there.
