Those teams deserve better facilities. They have a history of winning on spite of the venues, not with the help of them. Plus, we can't let a school like UNT with a newer softball program and a possible startup baseball program start out-recruiting us because their venues are nicer. Softball is almost dead even now, with them winning the series this past season.

Of course, there are many who have suggested a package deal that includes all facility renovations, football and academic fundraising. With an AD from UT on the job for less than two years and a fresh-out-of-the-wrapper president, we just don't know. As far as the Sun Belt goes, we are at a minimum of 7 years out.

Just one comment on the above: our baseball program isn't a possibility. It's a done deal. The renderings of the new ballpark will be revealed to the public soon. You guys may be able to maintain a nicer softball field than us. I've never seen your softball field. But you won't be able to keep up facilities-wise when it comes to baseball. Our ballpark will be NICE.

Hey SFA Lumberjerk fan,

You had to go all gushy on the Sam Houston site. You are a closet UNT fan so go away.

Closet UNT fan? What is that supposed to mean? I have a bachelor's degree from UNT. My mother went to SFA and I went there originally before transferring to UNT. I wanted to go to UNT out of high school, but SFA was an hour from my parents' house so it was much cheaper. After getting my basics done there I spent my last three years at UNT. I'm pretty sure you made some incorrect assumptions. Don't be such a dick if you don't know what you're talking about. Also, what does your comment have to do with anything mentioned on this thread?

I would be glad if untexas started up baseball. another local team to play. with tcu and dbu and uta and unt maybe some good rivalries..

I agree. Looking forward to it.
