He was told to stay off campus while he was suspended, partially to keep him away from the kid he punched. Didn't happen and the two almost got in a fight again. The team need to move beyond this and Jones transferring is best for him and the Longhorns.

On paper at least, that sounds like the ideal set-up for him.

As an ECU fan I'd take him in a heartbeat. Son of the greatest ECU LB of all time, nephew of Jeff Blake, his brother is going to be on the team this year, it's really as good a landing spot as he could ask for.

Anyone have any details on the altercation? Who was this tennis player and why did they get into it?

I probably complain about UT as much as anybody but Mack has run that program, in many ways, with a lot of class. The HC of a confident program can release a player unconditionally. Gundy on the other hand... I'm not qualified to say whether Mack is a great coach but I've never heard a peep about possible UT cheating under his watch. That deserves our respect.

The tennis player was dating Jones late girl friend a volleyball player at Texas. Apparently the tennis player was taunting Jones and he snapped.
