I'm biased, but considering that Larry Coker and Frank Solich are on the list (so it's not just listing up-and-comers), I'd add Terry Bowden to the list. But I understand that going 1-11 isn't going to get much positive attention. But the fact that he had that dumpster fire that Rob Ianello left competitive in just about every game in year one, was a minor miracle in itself.
It'll be interesting to see what Akron does this year. The schedule prohibits them from making much noise, but opens them up having a quite a few upsets.
BTW, Solich and Campbell definitely belong on the list. Solich has already did what Bowden is attempting to do, and Campbell will be the next Toledo coach (unfortunately) to move up the ranks. Hopefully, Bowden becomes Akron's version of Solich (been there, done that and is content building a winner in the MAC).
