I really don't see much difference in the amount of time that it takes someone living right at ODU's campus and coming to BFS than someone who lives right at the UNCC campus coming to BFS as far as driving time. I live 3 minutes from Charlotte's campus, and non-stop its just over 4 hours. But that is not an accurate measurement. Many UNCC alumni, live in the Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point areas of NC and those people have under a 3 hour drive.

We all get caught up in the distance from campus to campus, but as we are well aware, few JMU alumni reside in Harrisonburg and the same can be said of UNCC. Charlotte is not the commuter school as is GMU, VCU, or ODU. ODU can say that this is changing rapidly, but due to the overwhelming number of military students they have, they will always have an enormous percentage of students from the Norfolk area. They easily can say they have students from all over the US because military personnel are allowed to maintain their citizenship in the state where they came from until the day they are discharged.

This being said, I expect no less than 3k and believe that 5k might be possible. How many did we have at Tech? I believe this will be similar. I also disagree that there were only 3k ODU fans. Section's 401, 402, and 403 were filled with them. If you are basing you number on the Godwin stands, then you are only counting half of the ODU fans that were in BFS. As has been stated, this is Charlotte's very first road game ever. We are their biggest game of the season. This will be well attended by their fans, especially if they manage to win the games before ours.
