Virginia GuardTaylor Barnette announced he would be transferring to Belmont Saturday. After sitting out this season he will have 3 years of eligibility for the Bruins.

He was a guy I was hoping we would sign when we were originally recruiting him, but he obviously moved up to a high major school. He should be a real nice player next year.

This is a nice addition to our team. He seems like a great kid as well as a awesome shooter.

I am not discounting this season at all, as we'll be better than some folks think. But we are one good center recruit/transfer away from being right back to our dominant form in a couple of years. I really like our young guys, and this will be a very good addition as well.
