He does look pretty good. Do the Huskies have summer practice on weekends at all? I am interested in seeing the backup QB battle.

Could the backup QB battle for this year lose some of it's luster with Maddie coming in the next year? No idea.

I hope they don't lose focus. They are competing for this year and whoever wins could get early first team reps next off-season, which could be an advantage.

The stories out there is that Matt has a priority problem.
Like a lot of college kids, he must figure out when is the time to play and when is the time to party.
He has the talent to be special.

I will be shocked if Hare isn't the backup.

Someone should post Hare's highlight video in here so we can compare.

In a word: No

These guys will ALL battle for a spot. No one is just walking in to anything.

RE: Matt Williams high school film
Based solely on what I saw in spring practice, Williams has the best throwing mechanics of anyone on the team, Mr. Lynch included, and throws a really nice tight spiral. However, that doesn't mean squat if it's thrown to the wrong location, where Hare threw his passes right on the money. Williams also fumbled the snap at least 3-4 times that I can recall. There is something between his ears that seems to be getting in the way, cause he clearly has the physical gifts.
