or do you like how it is now? I think they should do a neutral site now. C-usa has a bunch of nice locations where they can have a championship game. Its also a great reward for the players .

I think they should keep it the way that it is now....Attendance would be a nightmare at a neutral site.

attendance would be really awful at a neutral site.

I don't think so. While, granted, an east/west arrangement is not so great on the visiting fans, I think overall attendance would suffer at a neutral site. And, frankly, the team with the best conference record should have an advantage to make conference play as meaningful as possible. I would keep it as it is.

Probably head to head first, in the event they played, followed by overall record, division record, etc.

Our Championship Games have always had the look and feel of Championship games. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Guess you could call it a neutral site if UTSA weren't playing, but San Antonio's Alamo Dome would probably be packed for a championship game.

Sorry, but east coast division fans aren't going to show up by the tens of thousands.

If you end up with championship game with USM and WKU playing in the Alamodome, we're going to look like an FCS conference on television.

Agree with this. Also, this is a great reward for a great season.

And C-USA would lose money hand over fist. The ACC can't draw well for it's neutral site. Now only the SEC and B1G draw well, the B-XII did when they had one side them no one that has tried it has draw worth a _____.

No... Winning the regular season crown should have a reward to it.

Ask the MAC about neutral site games... their league is more regional and they have a Championship Game at Ford Field in the middle and over the years they have only drawn between 13,000 and 25,000 (actually averaging in the teens). I don't think an empty stadium on short travel notice is the visual we want to give for the conference.

The more accomplished/tiebreaker-holding of the two division winners plays at home, that's what I have come to understand. That team gets to play on their turf with a strong contingent of their own fans in attendance. Tickets sell, the place looks full on TV, and all is well. That is a reward in itself for everyone involved, as has been expressed in this thread. And the (possible) bowls are cherries on top.

problem is UAB plays in a 71k seat stadium and the visitors side is what shows up on TV so the crowd is going to look half assed even if 40k show up.

Well, that is a conundrum that my logic did not take into account. In this theoretical championship game featuring UAB as the home team, the representative from the opposing division would have to be within reasonable travel distance to have any hope of getting the visitors side 3/4 full, let alone sold out. (Which, for Legion, is a lofty goal indeed.) That's one of the flaws of having the press boxes & camera banks on the same side of the field, I guess.

How long or what will it take for some on this board to come to their senses and realize that Cbelt means nothing to anyone but fans of their particular schools. There is no public appeal now since it was gutted and any move to remove games, etc to neutral sites will be an attendance embarassment and financial disaster.

What will the division set-ups be in 2015?
