Unfortunately in one of those silly on-screen display formats. You can download a PDF though...

Great cover!

Those first 15 pages make me want to go back to school.

Kishon Wilcher might move to WR? Hmm... Seems like he would be needed at CB.

Hester was rated the #35 DT(Rivals) coming out of HS. Jones was a 4 star WR/Return Specialist(Scout.com) Very dangerous/elusive with the FB. A big play threat.

2001 when you guys had 36502 against us...was the big crowd from the fact you broke into the top 25?? Or was there something else going on?

I don't know exactly but we had a lot of momentum going as a program at that time. The Rockets whooped up on Penn State on the road the year before and pounded Minnesota in the Glass Bowl that year. You guys had Michael Turner at the time too, right? I can't remember the game but remember that expectations were high at that point.

If I remember correctly 2001 was still a Thomas Hammock RB...Chris Finlen QB combo...I think its when we finally saw we had something to build on. I might be wrong...just curious about that game.

I believe it was parents weekend at UT and it seemed like everyone had their Mom and Dad on campus. I'm sure a lot of Dads preferred a college football game live to grocery shopping with Mom and kid...

Kind of on topic with that- the two bands combined at halftime for a patriotic show!

I think it was a combination of things. The momentum was already building in 2000 after we beat PSU and the buzz grew exponentially. It seemed that UT was rising to a new level and it really energized the community. The home win against Minnesota in 2001 threw fuel on the fire. Much like with the Lady Rockets run to the WNIT championship, fans knew something special was happening and flocked in to experience it.

It's too bad that it takes something like that to get attendance up and keep it there, but, unfortunately, that's the way it is in our fair city.

That opportunity exist this year. The crowds would be gigantic if we beat both Fla. and Missou. O'Brien will have to add extra stands for the Navy game.

Unfortunately, I don't think we can bring in extra stands anymore because the fire Marshall won't allow it after the injuries after fans rushed the field after beating Pitt. Safety concerns.

It's a shame the injury bug bit us the way it did last year. Had we not dropped those games late in the season and remained ranked--and won the bowl-- it would have really helped build the buzz for 2013.

Thanks. I wasn't at the game but your link brought back the emotions of those days.

The crowd size might have had as much to do with people feeling a need to be together during that time. It was a scene played out all over the country and from the looks of it, not done anywhere better than done that day at the UofToledo.
