ISU Stadium Renovation & IHSA Playoff Talk
Quote:The finals at Northern Illinois this season will be new and exciting, but the Redbirds could one day join the mix of hosts again.

And here's what it looks like. Pretty sharp. I do like the the individual seats.

Shows we need to get going on the west side. I'm sure Frasier has seen the article.

I like the upper terrace by the skyboxes. Very nice. If we do reno the pressbox I would hope the duplicate this or better.

ISU is holding their hand out to the city to cough up something like $500,000 to help pay for this stadium overhaul. They're getting new scoreboard too. I haven't heard if the city is actually going to come up some money...I just know that ISU is asking for money.

SIU has Carbondale paying for their stadium too. It is easy to build stuff when you do it by raising student athletic fees and having the city pay into it.

NIU has done all of its upgrades without doing either.

Aren't Dekalb businesses supposed to gain 1 mil+ per year for the High Schools Playoffs alone? Why doesn't the city kick in 200k into the stadium each playoff year?
