Potential sec bowl lineup
The lineup could very well look like this, according to a league source:
Playoff teams
Sugar (New Orleans)
Orange (rotational)
Capital One (Orlando)
Outback (Tampa)
Belk (Charlotte)
Meineke Car Care (Houston)
Music City (Nashville)
Liberty (Memphis)
BBVA Compass (Birmingham)
according to league sources. The SEC is still in discussion with the Liberty and Compass Bowls, but the others appear set.

Looks like it is going to be SEC-Big XII Libert Bowl, From the article:

The Iowa State turnout did wonders for the Liberty Bowl it seems.

It is a wise investment for the SEC to get involved in it. Memphis is amazingly well centered for the two conferences. The SEC knows that most Big 12 schools will have strong followings to a bowl matchup against an SEC team.

If that deal gets done between the Liberty and SEC then the Liberty just struck gold and definitely moves up the Bowl Ladder. Money will pour into it.

The liberty always did well with sec. Just that sec really sems to like birmingham.

Womack said the SEC has had "positive" discussions with ESPN Regional Television about remaining affiliated with Birmingham's bowl, which needs a new title sponsor after this season's game.

"It's been a good site," Womack said. "The teams that have come here have enjoyed themselves, had a good time. There's interest from both parts there to try to reach some kind of agreement, and we'll continue those discussions."

Which conference could be opposite the SEC in Birmingham wouldn't be a deal-breaker, Womack said. The American Athletic Conference (formerly the Big East) currently is in Birmingham's BBVA Compass Bowl, but it's not a given the American will return.
