We didn't play Tulane that year, does anyone remember how good they were?

They were undefeated & didn't get a chance to show how good they were or could have been.

Shaun King in Rich Rod's system was pretty good

Yes, that's a cast on Shaun King's wrist.

RE: NBR: 1998 Tulane
Was that the year Tommy Bowden earned his "promotion" to Clemson? The Tulane President sued the BCS bosses the year Tulane went undefeated and uninvited to a BCS Bowl. As a result of the out of court settlement of that lawsuit, (Without that lawsuit, the nonBCS schools might still be excluded from any of the BCS bowls) the BCS has since invited one perfect record nonBCS team to a BCS bowl and when there were two, pitted them against each other to avoid any chance of two BCS bowl losses by BCS teams. Of course there has never been a requirement that any BCS team have a perfect record to play in even the BCS NC Bowl. LSU won the BCS NC with two losses that year.

I loved that team. I think I saw them on TV five or six times that season. Fun to watch.
