OT: The Bridge
Anyone watching this? It's set in El Paso. Pretty unrealistic from what I've seen so far.

In the meantime, Watching Life is Too Short.

Great show. Warwick Davis' character is hilarious.

I just got done watching it. Considering this is television, and not a documentary, I thought it was very well done and pretty fair. I will definitely continue to watch.

What little I was able to watch was very impressive, intriguing and downright disturbing, that scene in the coroner's lab with the dismembered bodies made me cringe big time, those were some beautiful women this ***hole killed and carved up...I will be tuning in regularly to this, FX is good at showing replay episodes for people like me that can't always find a peaceful moment at home to watch a TV show.

FX has been coming on strong with the dramatic shows in recent years, this one may very well join the club with "Justified", "Sons Of Anarchy", "American Horror Story" & "The Americans"....One program they aired that I wish they'd renewed for another season or more..."Over There"...Outstanding show!

I watched the Bridge last night. I was good, but like every show that tries to depict the dynamics of the Anglo/Hispanic Texas culture, they never get the whole story. It was good enough to watch again next week.

RE: OT: The Bridge
I liked it a lot. FX makes the best shows on TV. Some I love (Sons, Justified, Shield, Archer, Louie), some I don't care for (nip/tuck, the fireman show, the americans, Wilfred), and liked some that didn't stick (Terriers) but they're all very well done.

As usual, the main character has issues...looks like she has some personality disorder (Aspergers?). That works well these days (see Girl with Dragon Tattoo).

Don't really like the El Paso detective. Should've had two Hispanic lead characters. Still, was nice seeing shots of my hometown on tv.

Was she from the National Treasure flicks?

And the reporter that almost got blown up has been in some big films as well.

He was Shaggy in Scooby Doo, and the lawyer in Thirteen Ghosts.

I like her just fine. I think the show has been cast well. I just hope they continue to display the culture of the cities. The differences between El Paso and Juarez needs to be expressed for this show to have staying power. If they do a good job of that, the cities will become more then just collections of streets the show is film on, and become unique environments.
