I am not lying when I say that I'm so freaking pumped for just about every single game on the schedule. UM, ECU, USF, home opener vs. Middlle, Marshall, HC vs. Tulane, hosting the Shula Bowl, USM, etc...
If I had to pick one, I'd pick UM
Hell, I'm even pumped to host New Mexico St.

personally, it's la tech...never been there, will be going

for the school, i say utep due to the texas ties and the great home attendance that i believe will be there.

Agreed. That's a mighty fine program they got brewing down in San Marcos. Don't take that game lightly USM. I doubt the players will, with what happened last season. But still, don't overlook the Bobcats!

They do have a good team. I'd guess USM is about as focused as they have ever been. Between a new coach trying to win his first, & a team trying to win their first game in awhile.
Texas State may win, but it won't be for overlooking them.

Arrogant? Not really. We just have a chip on our shoulders. Get tired of the other TX schools fan bases (not all posters) constantly talking sh!t, especially about how they are going to just beat the crap out of us. It would be ok if those talking noise were actually making noise on the field but most have been the little play toy for the big boys of CFB. Anyone in our conference that thinks playing UTSA is an easy win will be making a big mistake. Not saying we are world beaters but we are NOT scrubs either.

If we lose, McCarney will be fired and I will probably quit watching UNT football. Seriously. That would be our lowest point.

I have said this several times in various threads. UTSA played us very, very tough last year. Do not sleep on them.

Miami is hosting Florida in week 2, that is the biggest college football game of the year for me. For CUSA, it has to be East Carolina @ MT for homecoming. Wish I could be there, but I'll have to settle for the UTEP @ MT senior day game...

I agree with other USM posters that Texas St. is the game along with the following reasons.

HC - Todd Monken - nothing but positives across the board to date...how will he manage the game as a HC and play caller?

S&C - how will we look going into the 3rd and 4th quarters? ...could barely make it to the half last year...has been mentioned many times by players and coaches how this will be most improved in '13

Player attitude - all positive to date...no question marks like last year

QB - who becomes THE guy?

RB - does Hardy finally get carries?

OL - who emerges and can they get the job done?

DEF - do we return to the form of '11 when Duggan was on the staff? Does Michael White become our next monster and wreak havoc?

Sleep on us guys. You have no worries. No way a third year program will threaten to beat UNT or any other school on our schedule. According to the pundits we will end up 1-11 or 2-10 at best.

ODU, it's our first TV game, and I'm curious to check out ODU. They've really got things up and running (the right way) super fast, and it will be a pleasure to watch the beat down they will give us at a local establishment with fellow 49er fans.
