This is a critical time of the year leading up to the start of FB season, the sports season in general and even the start of school. But where are the stories on TU sports - something that is needed to promote the "TU product" that sells TU season tix?

It has become obvious to me that there are some media outlets that are "TU friendly", others that give TU "token" publicity and still others that are on "ignore" mode. IMO the last two examples are akin to being a bad Tulsan imo.

I am a proud american - right or wrong. I am a proud Okie. And I am a proud Tulsan. I want all them to be successful and they should be promoted in that vein. And because I'm proud of them, I tend to reject anyone that seems to be too critical, or worse, who ignore them. That kind of attitude just deosn't sit well with me and IMO the TW SHOULD be in the "promoting Tulsa" business, not in the "ignore Tulsa" business. TU has the Tulsa name. It is visible throughout the nation from coast to coast with that name. It is "name specific" i.e. when you hear the Tulsa name it promotes the entire region, not just the university. OU, OSU's name may promote Oklahoma, but they don't specifically promote this part of it.

So TW, where are the stories? Mr Haisten, if I (some amateur on a message board) can write/post pro-TU threads on a forum, why can't you spend a few moments every day by doing your job, a job you are paid to do, and come up with a pertinent and unabashadly pro-TU article that might in some way help the university that brings millions of dollars to the city you live in and helps pay your salary? Come on TW. Come on Mr Haisten. Lets start the ball rolling. Lets light that candle!
