Impact on the season? Not even part of the discussion to start with.. Great rivalries simply have to involve a true "dislike" (although there may be some respect) between the schools involved.

Everyone who even has a passing interest in college football takes note of every army/navy game... and even those who don't care about college football will take note of this game.
