You have really got to hand it to the chickens. I think they were almost at 80,000 when Holtz was leading them to an 0-11 campaign in 1999.

RE: Post here if your school can average 80K during football season
Actually, just looking at it, over half the 14 team SEC can claim 80K+ stadiums (which all average over 80K attendance as well):
1) Tennessee - 102,455
2) Alabama -101,821
3) Georgia - 92,746
4) Louisiana State - 92,542 (will expand to 100k+)
5) Florida - 88,548
6) Auburn - 87,451
7) Texas A&M - 82,589 (will expand to 100K+)
8) South Carolina - 80,250
Additionally,
Mizzou is actively planning to expand Faurot to 80K+ and is hoping to have it done by 2015
Arkansas has plans to expand Razorback stadium to 80K as well but there is no timetable yet for when that will happen.

Well, we actually have fans that care about football
Must be difficult to be a fan of a school that doesn't
Seriously, when is UNC gonna start taking big boy athletics seriously

Let's see, UNC has won 40 national championships in all sports. South Carolina - 8.
You guys have never won an SEC championship or national title in football. You've been to 18 bowl games. UNC has been to 29. For a school that takes football that seriously, your history is still worse than UNC's.

I said big boy athletics
Obviously our history sucks, you're hardly the first one to ever notice that
Thankfully our administrative incompetance seems to be behind us for the most part

I've always respected South Carolina fans for showing up for football games even when their teams were bad.

Yep,basically
No conference has tried to get Kansas from the Big 12 yet. Tells you something about the importance of basketball.
Besides, I read yesterday where Roy Williams only makes 2 million a year. That embarassingly low for someone with his resume.

Before anyone else gets too mad, this thread is completely tongue in cheek, making fun of the 40k thread farther down. All these numbers are pretty arbitrary.
UNC's commitment to football is rather, ah, embarassing. But none of that would have come up without the usual insults of South Carolina.
I'm surprised no one has made a **** joke yet.

Yeah but you were digging at UNC which both the SEC and Big Ten covet.
