What Sports Do You Follow
What sports do you follow (college and pro) and how actively do you follow them?

For me,

College football: Despite living in Columbus my whole life, didn't really pay attention (outside of always knowing I wanted Ohio State to beat Michigan) until my senior year. I watched my first football game at the beginning of that year, 2002, and have been hooked ever since. I follow Ohio State and the Big Ten closest, but follow the national title picture throughout the season as well as the major conference title races and spend long Saturdays in front of the TV when I can (work now gets in the way).

Baseball: My first sport love. I'm not an extremely active follower, but I keep tabs on my favorite teams and will watch parts of a few Reds games. I got into the Yankees when I was young since they were the major league team to the hometown AAA Clippers (whom I still like seeing play games live once or twice a year). I kind of think of the Yankees as my American League team and the Reds as my National League team now.

Basketball: Live, I've been to far more college girl's basketball games (division 3) than any other sport college or pro. That was due to a cousin playing though and haven't kept up at that level in awhile. Since the regular season national title race is pretty much meaningless, I follow Ohio State a little at the beginning of the season and enjoy the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. I don't pay very close attention at that point though. After conference play begins though, I pay fairly close attention to all Big Ten play, but don't really watch any other conferences. Finally when March arrives, I do love the whole NCAA Tournament. That said, the most fun post-season year for me was our NIT victory. I went to a few games then and had a lot of fun.

NFL: Will follow a little for fantasy team or a player or two I liked in college. Fantasy football might finally get me into the league. I am nominally a Browns and Bengals fan (more Browns than Bengals), but don't really pay that much attention. I haven't seen more than a few games beginning to end and that includes Super Bowls.

Other: I enjoy the Olympics. I watched a little of the NBA Finals this year (2nd time ever).

RE: What Sports Do You Follow
College football: I moved to Columbus when I was 12 and at the time, I thought the NFL was great and college was dumb. Of course, I had just moved from New Jersey where they didn't follow much in the way of college sports (sorry Rutgers, but I lived 10 minutes from your campus and nobody I went to school with followed them and college sports never made the sports section of the TV news). But that quickly changed after I moved to Columbus and only 1 mile from campus. I went to a few games and watched several on TV. I quickly learned to appreciate college football, especially Ohio State.

Baseball: Prior to living in New Jersey, I lived in St. Louis. Baseball was the first sport that I loved and the Cardinals were great when I lived there. I got to watch Lou Brock hit his 3,000th hit and saw the team win the World Series in 1982 (I moved to NJ about two weeks after that happened). I have been a die-hard Cardinals fan ever since. I follow the team fairly consistently, but I find myself not following the rest of baseball very much. I love watching baseball live and in person though. Living in FL, I take in a few Spring Training games every year (mostly the Cardinals), and I'll go to a Rays game every year, but beyond that I don't see much.

Basketball: I follow the Magic because I live in Orlando, but I could really care less about most of the NBA. It's not a team game most of the time. I was a huge John Stockton fan when he played, but I haven't really latched onto another personality since he retired. I follow college hoops a lot (again baptized by OSU) though and really enjoy those games.

NFL: If it weren't for fantasy football, I would not watch many NFL games at all. I was a Cardinals fan until the owner moved the team to AZ. I became a Browns fan while in Ohio, but again lost interest in them when they moved to Baltimore and I haven't been able to get into the new Browns club since I live in FL. I've tried to be a fan of any of the teams in FL, but none has really captured my interest the way college football has.

Other: I'll watch the Masters and the British Open golf, I'll watch the Olympics, and I'll watch soccer and hockey from time to time, but I pretty much stick to the big three of football, baseball, and basketball.

RE: What Sports Do You Follow
What sports do I follow or what sports have I followed?

At present, mostly college football (Buckeyes as my boyhood team, and I also follow the Flashes as the local team), with a slight focus on MLB (Reds, from boyhood) and sport cycling (mostly BMC, Cadel Evans and Tejay Van Garderen). I watched some Lacrosse conference championships and NCAA games this year, and might watch some more of those.

When I went to college, I was mostly following pro football and the Bengals (before they morphed into the Bungals, and when they had Anthony Munoz, though that is saying the same thing in two different ways), and was still mostly following pro football when I went to grad school in Tennessee, though I started getting back into college football again. When I went to Australia with my family for a decade, I got into soccer, because my youngest played (and was actually pretty good, he was playing under 17's for a city soccer club league before he returned to the US), rugby league (Go Knights!), and cricket (Go Windies!), but haven't followed those much for the past eight years since I returned ~ I've dropped back to getting interested in soccer once every four years for the World Cup.

I've always liked watching college bball more than pro, but only really pay attention during the Big Ten tourney and the NCAA, so I wouldn't say I really follow it. And when the Olympics are on I pay the most attention to the track, soccer and cycling, despite ten years including an Olympics three hours away in Australia trying to convince me that the Olympics are swim meet and soccer tournament with a variety of other sports attached.
