I respect ECU.

But all these AAC posters on the MAC board suggests that there's nothing on their board b/c no one cares (or no one has a clue who's in the AAC).

I'm not surprised they're freaking out. Even though it's only a blog, it's an indication of what's to come, i.e. the media will start ignoring, disrespecting and belittling them just like all the other non-AQs.

Its even funnier when you realize its being spearheaded by a couple of ECU fans who:

1. aren't even in the conference yet.

2. didn't do anything like this when ESPN replaced the N-AQ blog with the Stanford blog several years ago.

ECU fans are crazy....

Wont be long before they default to some attendance argument about how they have better attendance then Wake Forest.

We have a winner!

Toledo BEAT Cincy in football last year...

NIU and Toledo would be top contenders year in and year out in a C-USA 2.0 schedule.

UConn makes that list invalid, they've been beat by a medicore WMU 2 years in a row. Won't surprised when they lose to medicore Buffalo this year.

Actually UConn has lost to a MAC team 3 years in a row. Buffalo should be #4.

2012 - WMU
2011 - WMU
2010 - Temple (Member of the MAC at the time).

UConn was FCS like 20 minutes ago and it totally shows. Weak-ass.

I can't wait for UMass to started taking their lunch.

Regardless, I nor any other AAC fan would trade our fanbases, markets, schools, history, cities, academics, traditions or anything with what the MAC puts up with.

NIU and Toledo were ranked and given national attention, how many butts did they put in the stands again?

Oh wait, my old high school drew more people than them.

You may want to rethink the "History" part.

And "Academics" too, Cougar High.

Heck, "Markets" as well.

Y'alls got NOTHING on the MAC except higher travel costs.

Our academics are better than any MAC team except for perhaps Miami. All of our markets are superior to the MAC. Many AAC teams have strong lineages. For example, us and SMU were in the SWC.

Your name heavily reflects your intelligence and I also like how you dodged a answer for almost everything else.

Your school is a pathetic excuse for a Junior College.

The Chicago market is larger than anything in the AAC.

You were in the SWC (for a blink of an eye) just before it blew up. You didn't even have a football program until 1946, the same year that the MAC was formed. Most of the MAC schools have been playing football for over 100 years.

********.

Yeah, keep up with the superior education.

The single problem AAC supporters don't understand is this: no one knows who's in your conference, so bragging about their reps is utterly pointless!

And while you'll be tempted to believe this is just message board banter, in reality I'll bet many sports fans don't even know what the AAC is (is it related to AAU?), let alone who is in it.

And AAC teams will still have to accept that fans will associate them with CUSA for many years to come.

All the more reason why the administrations of the AAC members should have taken the long road and established very distinctive, regionally sound, NEW conferences.

I refrained from commenting on that (but it didn't go unnoticed). It's almost unfair.

Keep dodging the fanbase, attendance and tradition argument. You have been playing for 100+ years and have absolutely nothing to show for it. We started playing after WW2 and have accomplished more than every MAC school combined.

UHouston football is not something I'd invite people to scrutinize.

We have a new winner, the MAC fans are ignorant.
I cant believe y'all even think the MAC is relavent?

No one talks about you?
None of your teams do ANYTHING in football AND basketball.
(compared to normal conferences)
Whens the last time y'all even made a news header?

Your conference is nothing, its a joke.
The AAC is EASILY superior to the MAC?

What are y'all smoking, y'all dont have ONE single team that is nationally known for ANYTHING.

We have Cincinnati, Uconn, Memphis & more.

Our programs and traditions are on another level compared to the MAC.

Bowling Green State? Western Michigan?

Give me a break.. 03-lmfao

You must have alzhiemers or dementia, in 2012 the MAC won 8 games over AQ opponents including previously undefeated Cincy & Rutgers of the BE(new AAC) plus Iowa, Penn State, Indiana and Kansas.

How many wins over AQ teams did the former CUSA members of the AAC have last year besides the Tulsa bowl win over Iowa State, maybe 1?

Your also forgetting Kent State earning a CWS bid in 2012, Akron winning a National Championship in Men's Soccer (2010, which CUSA also plays) and Miami earning a Frozen 4 bid in 08 & 09. Success in 4 sports not just football & hoops

In addition to Miami's stellar academics both Buffalo & UMass are AAU institutions. Any CUSA programs AAU members, I doubt it.
