Inma had four points, seven rebounds, and six assists while playing 34 minutes.

Elena had five points and a rebound while playing just 13 minutes.

Spain's 6-5 center Astou Ndour tallied 24 points and 19 rebounds.

Hopefully Inma and Elena are working on getting Astou to Toledo!!!

Congratulations to Inma - iMO she will be among the top Rockets of all time when her career is completed in 2015.

I did a quick search on Ndour and recruiting and came up empty which I find very strange.

Maybe she's going to stay in Spain and move up to the national team. Getting paid offers some advantages over going to college.

I also speculate that Ndour may be playing professional ball this season based on her performance in the tourney, or would at least get looks from high profile university programs.

Well I hope they are at least trying to get her. Inma is going to be the real deal this year again.

I had forgotten about the U18 Euro championship and just checked today. England is 0-4 and getting crushed pretty badly. Monakana has not played in any of the games. From her twitter looks like she may have had passport problems and not yet made it to Croatia? That's too bad to be missing out on some good experience in the tourney.

Has someone told her, she needs to get a passport to get HERE!

I thought Croatia was EU? Didn't think they needed passport. Wonder if I'm wrong on one or both counts?

That would make too much sense.

No, I don't think she is here for class. She had permission to play in this tourney. Her twitter has recent postings about heading to Croatia soon to join the team.

I was told both of the European freshmen would be here for the first day of classes.

Things may have changed but on August 7 Monakana tweeted that she had booked her flight to Toledo, with her arrival date in two weeks.

Looks like she finally made it to Croatia, and helped England win its first ever game playing in Division A, as they defeated Slovakia 57-51. Monakana scored 9 points, and had 6 boards and 1 assist in only 17 minutes of play.

England wins again today over Belarus 71-66, with Janice scoring 11 points in only 9 minutes of play, drawing 5 fouls from the opponents. That's a pretty amazing scoring pace.

England lost their last 3 games to finish 2-7, and unfortunately in last place in the tourney.

Monakana played in 5 games, averaging 8.4 points and 3.4 boards per game in only 13 minutes a game. She also picked up 3 steals and 2 assists. Didn't shoot well, at 25%, but drew an incredible 20 fouls and shot 73% from the line.

Her ability to draw fouls and make the freebies would be very welcome at UT.

No kidding. Can't wait for season to begin. Coach was at a dinner with the rooters thurs night and seemed very excited and thinks the fans will really love one of the new freshman. She also thinks good possibility one or two of freshmen may start but all positions will have to be earned.
