The George Mason University Point Guard Situation
The George Mason Point Guard Situation

George Mason’s point guard situation could very well be the achilles heel in 2013-2014. Corey Edwards has made process taking better care of the ball and Bryon Allen filled in nicely when he was needed, although too often. Gradually we saw Allen move to a more off-the-ball role on the wing, and he thrived there late in the season. They need him to stay there and that means shoring up the point guard position. The big question is whether or not Corey Edwards can continue to make strides and be a reliable point guard in the Atlantic 10. Some of the opposing defenses George Mason will face next season will be light years ahead of what they saw in the CAA last year, and I’m not just talking about VCU.
