I just wish they would have let ECU go ahead and leave. They have a few respectful posters on here, but for the most part could live without the rest for the next 12 months.

In 365 days, I bet there will be another 365 day countdown as well.

Well Graybeard, what possible good could possibly come from starting a countdown to your exit on the CUSA board? I could see you being excited and wanting to do it on the AAC board. It's just indicative of the "always be looking at us, aren't we special" mentality of your fan base. It's tiresome.

I don't care if you get it or not GB. The fact is ECWHO has had one to many Troll fans on here to make me go from respecting and rooting for ECU in every game except one to hating everything Barney Purple. I for one and I know Im not the only one hope we never schedule ECWHO ever again. Also for Marshall, USM, Rice, UTEP and UAB playing the no name American in a bowl wouldn't be considered a reward.

You will not beat us at home this year. I hope we beat the living sh*t out of you on your last CUSA football game. Greenville could fall in a sinkhole and Id throw a party.

As a Tulane fan, I still feel bitterness towards two ex-conference-mates over "realignment"-stuff that happened a long time ago.

So I get why fans of Marshall (and of other teams that will remain in C-USA) are going to give the evil eye to ECU (and other teams that have just left, or are fixing to a year from now).

But for all that, the legacy of 11-14-70 will eventually transcend that bitterness, and the Marshall/ECU rivalry will endure, as it should.
