The bad news is we had better dominant because this looks like it could be a one bid league.
I think that's all going to depend on the year, and the depth of the league.
We could have some years where 1 team really pulls away from the league and another takes the conference tourney.(UTEP and Houston a few years ago) We could have some years where we have 4-5 top 50 RPI teams and the top of the league provides some big win opportunities among each other. We could have some years where half the league is in the top 100, and we wind up with another team like UAB sneaking in just do to the sheer quantity of good, not great wins.
Or, we could have years like we just had, where the overall quality of the league sucks. The issue I see right now is not the top half of the league, it's the bottom third or fourth. There are some really bad teams that are going to hurt the league as a whole. We really need to have teams stay out of the 250+ range as a whole. Outside of losing Memphis, I don't really think the conference is changing a ton basketball wise.
