Mark May's top 5 bounce back teams for 2013 (3 ACC schools)
On College football live today, Mark May had a segment were he discussed and ranked his top 5 bounce back teams for this upcoming year. They are :

1 - USC-w (7-6 last year) too much talent, 9 or 10 wins this year, Marquise Lee at WR. QB to be one of Widdick, Kessler or Brown.

2 - BC (2-10 last year) 15 returning starters

3 - VT (7-6 last year) Frank Beamer wins a lot of games, had a big strong QB, 9 starters returning on Defense, won last 3 games last year.

4 - Wake Forest - Will win at least 6 games, 15 returning starters, 4th year starter at QB in Tanner price

5 - Iowa Hawkeyes (4-8 last year) 14 returning starters

All 5 of these teams have a lot of returning players, have too much talent and are too well coached to not bounce back this year.

Any other teams that you think are set for a bounce back or greatly improved year?

Andre Ware did a top 5 bounce back teams for 2013 earlier this year and had 5 different schools. It was a while ago, so I don't remember who they were.

If VT "bounces back" from 7-6, what does that make 'em, 10-3 at least?

USC is well coached by Lane Kiffin? I agree that have tons of talent but Kiffin led last year's team to 7 wins. I have faith that Lane Kiffin can underwhelm us all once again.

I'll believe VT when I see it. At this point they are married to Logan Thomas because of all the undeserved hype. I'll grant you he has a strong arm, but watching him the past two years I honestly believe he would miss hitting the barn wall from the inside two out of every five throws.

I agree with that. I don't think USC-w is well coached with Lane Kiffen but those were Mark May's comments.

I can see VT going 9-3 with losses to Bama, GT, Miami. They could get to 10 depending on their bowl match up. Now if they play Bama close in the first game, this could get interesting....

My bad, I should have been clear. I know these were not your remarks and no insult/slight was intended for you.

I was just wondering when Lane Kiffin became a good coach. From what I've seen, he would be doing well to have a winning season in a Pop Warner league. He wins at USC because of the talent that USC can draw, not because of his coaching abilities.

I sure hope so.

Kiffin is my favorite college football coach.

I hope he coaches at Southern Cal for 15 more years......

Love the line, "Hello Kiffin". He is a kitten among the big cats of CFB. Can somebody make him wear a bow in his hair?
