Sorry...can't buy that spin on things. App has been waiting for the FBS move for a VERY long time. There has been a core of App fans who never wanted to be FCS in the first place and have been waiting for this move since the SoCon went I-AA in the first place. We have watched every team who ever made this jump and we've been forced to learn patience. Georgia Southern, although fans have been wanting the move for 10 years, made this move on very short notice and emotions are still very high.

Back to the thread topics though...As I said earlier, I like the uniforms. I really liked the old ones, but these are very nice. I just hope they go back to the white "A" on the helmet. Using the black version on the jersey looks good and is a good way to promote that version. I like the black shoulders on the white/gray versions.

I was speaking specifically to the desire to be in the Sun Belt. While the past administration was dead set against it, the fans knew that the Sun Belt was the only real shot at an FBS conference. Many App fans wanted to be in the FBS, but thought a C-USA invite was likely. Many Georgia Southern fans have been following the Sun Belt for years, especially since old rivals like Troy and MTSU there. Some Eagles fans are releasing 10 years of Sun Belt specific anticipation.

Third commit of the weekend, beating out various Sun Belt and CUSA programs.
