Troys is Corey Robinson one of the top passers in the NCAA.

Note: Deon Anthony is just as deadly if not more so IMO....

If we had a average defense last year we would have been bowling last year easily.

If there is one thing teams like JMU can learn from ODU, its that by declaring almost a whole year before the deadline, you're pretty much guaranteed to get a free year of FBS coverage even though you haven't officially started your transition yet.

One thing to fear about every FBS team.
Writing about one of the players in a bad way when you have a coach like Mike Gundy.

That video was after the loss to Troy on National TV and had to do with a quarterback with several turnovers that led to one of our biggest wins....and the paper questioned why they left him in so long on such a bad night.

Most SBC fans and media are picking us 4th, but that is good, we never get any respect preseason....

They have MTSU moving to the AAC rather than C-USA (page60.) Good 'ol Bleacher Report. Thanks for erroneously putting ODU into FBS early though! : )

Think most people do not remember many post game comments. Most remember the famous NFL, Playoffs, Don't Talk About Playoffs by Jim Mora post game comments in Charlotte. But most remember that tirade by Gundy. Guess he was trying to avoid having to give a kind word to Troy.

Yeah, I was going to comment on the fact that ODU was included in this list, even though they are actually transitional FCS in 2013.

They did the same thing with UTSA. In fact, everybody did. UTSA was FCS transitional last year. They counted as an FCS game. They were in the WAC to, basically, fill out the schedule but everybody and their brother (sports writers, sites, etc) deemed them FBS.

Phil Steele has also included us in all the 2013 FBS analysis. I would think that he is savy enough to know that we're FCS transitional this year but maybe not. We'll take it though, the more press the better. Here's Phil Steele's 2013 Pre-Season All Independent teams with several Monarchs mentioned along side Notre Dame and BYU's top players.

Yeah we've seen it, now go back to your own message board. 07-coffee3

Just kidding, you guys will probably transition the best out of the 3 of us initially, your offense is almost impossible to stop. Your defense... well thats another issue.

Yet GaSo has beaten ODU the last two years, and App State has beaten GaSo these same last two years. We get no respect.

I blame our losses on the Triple Option... And 3 turnovers in the 4th. But still, we've never fared we'll against the TO, and GaSo plays one of the best TO's in the country.

I think we can beat App State though.

I would love to have a chance to find out. Last year would have been interesting with two very high powered offenses against two questionable D's. We had tons of talent on D, but they never really came together as a unit. We lost some of that talent, and will be younger on D, but I think coach Woody will have them playing much more disciplined this year. It would be a great game! Of course, I'm biased but I think App has the edge here.
