Celtics head coach Doc Rivers has been traded to the Clippers for a 2015 1rst Round draft pick.

great move by the clippers. They had the talent to be better than a first round exit. It was clear that Del Negro was a terrible coach and never should have been given the reins in the first place. Unfortunately for the Thunder, this makes the west that much more difficult

nba coaching is hilarious. jason kidd's a coach. not saying he won't be a great coach, but he might get fired before christmas. eric spoelstra and popo are the longest tenured coaches. how much coaching does any coach do any more? are they needed? player/ manager's?

i believe NBA is the sport where coaches are the most necessary. Look at what the Spurs have on the floor and tell me Popovich isn't a genius. Look what the grizzlies have on offense and tell me Hollins isn't very smart. I think Doc is worth a few more wins than del negro and at least one round in the postseason

Rivers should help the Clips but I guess this was more about Boston dumping contracts and players for trades and darft picks to rebuild an aging roster to keep relevant unlike the post Bird/Parish/McHale era.
