This is why so many SBC teams are scrambling to upgrade their facilities the last couple of years. Many ADs and Coaches have had a chance to tour USA's field house and they realized they had better play catchup.

Pretty much anyone who has built a facility in the last three years has a pretty sweet place. The thing is that by the time you finish it you have to start planning the upgrades to keep up wit what others have coming.

That is very nice but you may want to check out App's 100k sq ft facility built in 2010 before making those claims.

USA's isnt a field house facility attached to a stadium hence, not 100k sq feet.

Very nice USA. Great to be going to a conference where the programs are all taking great strides. I wonder if ours will be as nice.

Apples and oranges. App's football stadium bundles multiple sports such as track and field, field hockey and stock car racing around that track. 05-stirthepot

The locker rooms aren't attached to the stadium, strange?

I do believe that this facility is second to none and isn't your run-of-the-mill athletic building. It's exceptional, but the ultra-quick video does not do it justice. Most recruits are blown away by it and visiting one of the most beautiful campuses in the South. It will be updated when necessary, but it sure doesn't need it now. With all due respect, I disagree with your short-sighted assessment. I suggest that the next time you're in Mobile, come out and take a visit.

GA st just relies on the Falcons for upgrades so take what they have to say with a grain of salt.

Your facilities are very nice.

We do not have the OCS as you do, but the locker room in the athletic building shown in the video is located next to the practice fields. If, and when a stadium is built, I guarantee there will be locker rooms added will be "state-of-the-art". USA plays in a very old, somewhat un-kept stadium about 6 miles from campus that is owned by the city and rent-free the 1st five years.

Football is the only sport that is playing at Kidd Brewer in the very near future. Field Hockey is moving to the field at State Farm and there is a separate track and field facility in the works. Soccer already has it's own stadium.

I didn't just throw out those comments. Officials from Troy and Arkansas State both began making plans to upgrade their facilities after touring USA's.

Hopefully Charlie is spending more time looking for a spot for the new track facility than he is looking for jobs...
