I agree with the USA ranking. I was not entertained by them at all when they came to Jonesboro.

I can't argue. It was difficult to watch our team gradually tire out due to lack of depth and our offense would sputter and go in droughts and turn the ball over a lot. Our playcalling on both sides of the ball reflected our lack of depth and talent level. We have a QB that might play this year who is a difference maker. He is a definite running threat who's pretty elusive when he takes off. This is year two of the offense and it should be much better than last year. But the USA@ASU game last year came down to an onside kick. And we ran a formation (I called it the Diamond formation) that gave ASU fits. That's exciting, huh?

you mad bro........04-rock

So mad that we went to your place and dropped what was it... something like 40 points on y'all. That ranking is a product of beating a bad, yet ranked Arkansas team at the time and almost beating an even worse Auburn team.

oh and you forgot the national TV game at home against Baylor and the OT thriller with Western KY. Hope Hud still has his soap on a rope when we come to laughette this year.

And then there was that exciting bowl game at Independence Stadium. Hud will have another special play in his game plan just for the Chickenhawk fan base and Coach Berry.04-rock

Great, hope you don't make a joke of the conference again like you did against Okie State....good luck at Arkansas this year, I will be watching that one for sure (since Arkansas is so bad03-zzz)

Oh goodness gracious, you lost to Baylor and barely beat WKU, a team we beat by a larger margin and in regulation time. Hope Berry has found a tube of Boudreaux's butt paste big enough to fix all that butt hurt going on after this most recent loss. We have owned ULM for the past several years and I don't see why or how that is going to change anytime soon.

OK St would have embarrassed anyone that day including y'all so no need to go there. Coaching and talent level at OK St and Ark last year were on two totally different levels.

They clearly didn't watch the Independence Bowl!

ULM was fun to watch at the start of the season. The Independence Bowl was painful to watch. ULM didn't show up but the fans that did looked like they were ready for some duck hunting. Lots of camo and LSU gear.

TXST football is fun to watch. Sometimes it's downright hysterical.

Alabama #59? Who knew watching a team vie for a third title in four years would be just mildly entertaining...

Since these are based on last year's performance, the question is: Which of these teams is going to rise from wallflower to leading man, and which is going to slip on a banana peel this year in entertainment value?

The whole poll is really ridiculous. I was glad to see they gave ULM a little respect for capturing the imagination of college football for a few weeks at the start of the season.

Alabama is only mildly entertaining. All they do is skull drag opponents into the ground with an old-fashioned smashmouth brand of football. 05-stirthepot

The description says it all.

This metric is intended to reward teams that play in close, high-scoring games and run a lot of plays along the way (whether Bret Bielema likes it or not). Scoring defense and F/+ are included to counterbalance things a little, and provide some reward for overall quality and defensive prowess.

It's a poll designed to favor close games with two spread teams throwing it up and down the field.
