A UTSA take on UAB
http://coolerchronicles.com/meeting-conference-usa/

Quote:In UAB’s 16 season of playing FBS football, they have only reached post-season play once, losing to Hawai’i 59-40 in the Hawai’i Bowl. The Blazers went 3-9 in 2011 with first year coach Garrick McGee. To give UTSA fans an idea of the road ahead of them, it took UAB five years in Conference USA before they sniffed a bowl game. On the upside, the Blazers upset #17 East Carolina in their first year as an FBS schools in 1999. They then went on to beat LSU by a field goal the next year. Former Blazer Roddy White was drafted in the first round in 2005. Outside of that, there really isn’t much to comment on. UAB has never really seen success at a large level in their 20 years of football.

One of my Grandfathers old war stories - He was a Marine in WW2 & was involved at Guadalcanal, one night while the rest of his squad slept in a supposedly secure rear area he had to get up & go to the latrine. After doing that he came back & went back to sleep. He woke up the next morning to find his squad had all been killed while he was gone. He lived the rest of the war under 1 major rule - know your enemy & never underestimate your enemy. So UTSA go ahead & underestimate us all you want

Didn't know about that as I've not studied the Falklands much but wouldn't surprise me SAS/SEALS etc have done similar in most every conflict.

MB - if you bother to study Guadalcanal or the Pacific conflict, you'd know that the IJ troops were very good at infiltrating lines in addition to their stereotypical coke bottle glassed banzai charges that Hollywood only portrays. As to my grandfather not hearing, latrines in rear areas weren't always close by as rear areas had facilities for such but out in the field/front lines it was nearest tree & you didn't go alone if you could. Do you just get off on being an ***hole or is it your natural behavior as just about every post you make is such.
