There was a sports radio show in phoenix that interviewed Pasnter. Memphis hadn't offered the job to Pastner yet, so he was basically set on following Cal to Kentucky if he didn't get the Memphis job. Can't remember the name of the 2 hosts, but near the end of the interview, the topic of Arizona's coaching search came up. Pastner said he'd crawl on his hands and knees to Tucson if it meant getting the Arizona job. Almost 5 years later and I still don't think much has changed.
Can't really blame the guy though. He spent a lot of years there as a player and coach, and even played on a Championship team there.
Love the username.

Hufnagel didn't spurn Memphis for Vandy. He went to Vandy because Memphis wasn't an option.

Seems FT Worth liked the idea, and Stammers was shooting down Memphis players for the idea of Huf.
Interesting for a guy that wasn't a top 3 option.

Hmm.
So now you're putting words into the collective mouths of those that run Memphis Roar because some random guy on a message board (who is not a premo Roar wigga) says something? I see.
He is so desperate to prove how useless he is that he is now resorting to trying to back up dumb opinions by quoting guys that have nothing to do with MR, and know nothing.

I would then suggest you state things better because this seems pretty insistent.

So because I say he wasn't in the top 3 in terms of options, it means he wasn't considered at all? And where did I say that he was never contacted? Or that Pastner/Hufnagel never spoke?
You really are pretty clever at "innocently" putting words into other people's mouths. But it's not working here, because I didn't say anything you're trying to imply I did.
Hufnagel got an offer. I dont know exactly what it was but it was apparently more of a slap in the face than anything.

RE: Katz: Jason Gardner hired
Josh went into the process thinking he only had one assistant hire to make this year and Hufnagel was a major candidate for that spot. When Damon left, that changed the equation because Josh needed a proven lead recruiter and someone who could work in the South and basically replace what was lost with Damon. That's why Kirby became the top priority.
With Kirby and Aki the 3rd assistant spot was going to pay less than what Vandy could pay since they lacked a top recruiter which Hufnagel is better equipped to do for them

Look Kemosabe, I dont know who or where your info is from but mine is top notch. He got an offer, although not much of one, and then went to Vandy. Whether the staff thought Kirby and GArder was a better pair or not is irrelevant.

Well I think the guy I listen too is better than any of your sources since John Martin likes to steal info from the website.

Well youre obviously not jamammy, which means you can only be one other person.
I know the person who runs that website personally although its not where I got my information. If he feels the need to address me then he will. He doesnt need you out here fighting fires in your underwear.

I am not fighting his battles. You just assume that. I am just saying you are spouting bs saying the new Vandy assistant was offered. Time4Reason just broke it down for you and you are still running with he was offered.
