McMurphy tweeted yesterday that Tulsa and New Mexico have signed a 1-1 deal with game 1 in 2015 at UNM and game 2 in 2017 here in Tulsa.

Not a terrible 1-1 deal - the last UNM series worked out pretty well for us.

Yeah, I like that.....we just need more like that, maybe Kansas and Colorado.....Texas Tech and Baylor......maybe even Arizona and Arizona St. We've played Utah and BYU a number of times but they would be a good 1-1.

I like this contract. We have a good relationship and a good history w NM. I also like the idea we will be playing a program that is the premier university in that state. Our visibility there is a good thing. TU needs to spread our "brand" as much as possible. When we play a Nicholls St or Sam Houston, that does not occur even though those (La and TX) states are bigger. IMO

If I remember correctly, we will also be making a trip to Stillwater in 2017 - you guys can correct me if I'm wrong, but for some reason I thought I remember TU saying they were pushing the last game of the OSU contract to 2017.

So @OSU and UNM at home so far for the 2017 non conference lineup. Not too shabby... as long as we don't bring in a Sam Houston State or Central Arkansas - which I really hope we're through with all together.

Game like with New Mexico is way better than Nicholls St or Sam Houston. People at least know who New Mexico is.
