Exclamation Inaugural AAC Season - Football Recruiting 2014
Does anyone want to start a recruiting board for the AAC? Someone from Boise did it last year and I found it interesting. Fans would have to keep it updated somehow. Anyone?

OK, using Scout rankings:
Darrell Colbert, QB, 3 star
Lance Cotrell, OLB, 3 star
Shelby Walker, WR, 3 star
Braylon Hyder, C, 3 star(247sports)
(4 - good start for SMU)

To avoid controversy and argument on ratings systems, use the 3 main scout sites: Rivals, Scout, and 247sports. For extra credit, provide a summary based from each website.

Todderick Hunt reported that Bearfield was offered by Miami, and Thrift was offered by Michigan in August. Temple will eventually get a commitment from Pittsburgh RB Ron Brown, who has offers from UCF, ODU, and Fordham. He is a 3* on Rivals.

Why not just use the 247 composite ratings? They average all recruiting sites into one.

RE: Inaugural AAC Season - Football Recruiting 2014
Ruff has offers from Temple, Wisconsin, GA Tech, Virginia Tech, and Michigan State. There are indications Stanford either has or will offer soon (he is an A student). Florida has also been in to see him, but all indications are that he's solid to Temple. He's considering visiting Wisconsin and Stanford though. Ruff is a 2* on Rivals (should jump to 3*) and a 3* on 247.

Syracuse and a few other schools have been in to see Morehart but he is strongly committed to Temple.

Sorry to double post. Florida has offered Ruff (Rivals profile updated) and there is a not-yet-confirmed report that Stanford has too. How he's a 2* on Rivals, I have no idea.

Its just because Rivals rating service in the Great Lakes Region has been horrible for years.

Well he's from Philly, so I'm not sure what that has to do with it, but Rivals does a poor job for non-top recruits. Anyway, it turns out that Rivals and 247 both got it wrong. He wasn't offered by UF and Stanford yet. Stanford asked for his transcript and UF has been in to see him (as has Stanford) and is considering offering.

Pennsylvania is considered inside the Great Lakes region as far as recruitment is concerned.

Yeah, but Philly's not. Some dont even consider Pittsburgh. It's really just Erie, which is nowhere near Philly.

I said the state of Pennsylvania and I meant the state...not a spek-city on the coast of Lake Erie. Philly may be jointly done by the East Coast guys at Scout and ESPN, but on Rivals, the whole of the state is lumped into the Great Lakes region which has by far the worst player evaluators in sports. I'm agreeing with the fact that they misjudged him, but they misjudge nearly everyone in the Great Lakes region.
