There has got to be some way to get that reviewed. I could understand treating it like an exhibition game and giving him a 2 game suspension (ND's was 2x the number of exhibition games played). But that decision borders on being criminal.

After playing 8 minutes in a closed scrimmage, the guy sits out for a year and a half. Add on top of that, the lost of a year. While the coach that recruited him moves to another school and starts work the next day. Way to look out for the student/athlete NCAA. Donte went to HS with my son, he's a nice of young man you would want to meet.

I'm over the NCAA, we never get a ruling in our favor.

Meanwhile, Miami is sent to bed with no tapioca.

One thing that would help is if they ruled on these things as they happened instead of waiting until after the senior season to rule. Would make it easier on the students to make decisions.

According to the article the rule is:

"any competition, regardless of time, during a season in an intercollegiate sport shall be counted as a season of competition in that sport."

The question is why does his participation in a pre-season scrimmage count against him? When did the pre-season start getting counted as part of a season?

The NCAA instead merely suspended Abromaitis for four games and allowed him to have a final year of eligibility, and the NCAA was widely applauded for that decision because everybody recognized it was a sensible and decent way to handle that situation.
