Would it kill for JMU to throw on a pump up song every game before the team comes out? Preferably the same one every game. The video they show just doesn't do it in my opinion.

Be interested to hear how this is coming along. Had heard there was an effort to make an arrangement that works for a marching band with battery that doesn't sound stupid.

Start Wearing Purple is always going to hold a special place in my soul, but I still love Coheed and Cambria's Welcome Home as a football intro song. Talked to a friend of mine who is good friends with Coheed's drummer and was going to let him know that we play their song before the game. He said they would love to come play before a game sometime if it worked with their tour schedule. UPB/Athletic marketing get on this now! I think a pregame concert would be a great idea and could be a really cool tradition to start up.

The concert would be held at Eastern Kentucky to save money.

UVA has been doing for a LONG time now and quite honestly I like it. Ours is ok but cheap considering it's the same thing over and over and over.

the whole pregame is getting changed this year. Among many changes, Start wearing purple for the full MRDs will be the highlight of the show.

Yeah, I remember that at a 2002 game, and I doubt it was the first time.

They are a nice, entertaining change of pace once or twice a year but it's the same stuff every week. Even my kid was bored with them halfway through the season.

Looking forward to seeing the new intro this year. Football season can't come soon enough!
