On the fence.... Can't talk any of my friends into going.

Tell them that proceeds go to fund scholarships, that there's live music, lots of golden beverages, & awesome all-you-can eat food prepared by a great staff (self included)

Crabs, beer truck, shrimp, live band proceeds to benefit scholarships for rva kids attending jmu. Price increases tomorrow.

Any particular reason why two huge Richmond events were scheduled within 5 days of one another? Dinner with the Dukes and the Crabfest. Gonna miss both due to a week at the beach vacation. Would be nice to spread events such as these out a bit over the summer to give folks greater opportunity to attend something. Did'nt the Crabfest used to be in August?

I'm gonna miss both because I literally can't find a single alumni that I'm friends with to go. Want to switch situations?

Don't blame it on The University. Crabfest was moved by my brother and I to June for 2 reasons: 1 - We were hoping that the weather might be cooler in June. It was too hot working the event in August. 2 - We don't do it in the fall because DC Crabfest is on the bye week in the fall and my brother and I attend all home games and most away. I wish we could do the event in April/May but it's too early for the crabs.

Crabfest registration closes tomorrow at 5:00. Join 400 alumni and friends for a great day of crabs, shrimp, 2 bands and a beer truck.
