I was an independent at ole miss but hung out with the ato's a lot. They were always a standup group of guys and im sure these boys were no exception. May God be with their family's and friends during this time.

The AP needs to hear from all of you about this story. For some reason that have once again decided to pick a time of loss to remind everyone that our university has a storied past. As some of you will remember a couple of ato's got in a little trouble a while back and appropriate mesaures were taken....but to take a racial jab for something that happened over four years ago...after three of them die...

I don't think that I'm going out too far on a limb by saying that all of us ATOs here in Memphis have their brothers, friends, and family in our thoughts and prayers. In fact, I fail to see where anyone wouldn't be saddened by this.

Sorry to hear about the loss of three promising lives.

Prayers for the familes.

If the AP is taking this opportunity to take a slap
at this organization, they win the classless award.

A memorial service Thursday honors the three victims of Friday's
fire at the ATO fraternity house, as well as seven other
students who have died since May. The service is set for
7 p.m. in Tad Smith Coliseum.

"In a very painful and tragic summer, we have lost 10 students,"
Chancellor Robert Khayat said. "We need the opportunity to
gather the entire Ole Miss family to remember those we have
lost and to draw strength from each other, in our various
faiths and in the special nature of Ole Miss."

Howard Hillhouse Stone of Martinsville, Va., William Moore
Townsend of Clarksdale and Jordan Lowell Williams of Atlanta
died Friday when fire destroyed the ATO house.

Other students being honored at Thursday's service are: Carnesha
Nelson of Moss Point, Jeromy Baker of Fulton, Candace Tindall
Brandon, Justin Lance Duvall of Carrollton, Wyche "BB" Harrington
of Aberdeen, Courtney Sorrells of Sikeston, Mo., and Matthew
Stovall of Horn Lake.

The service will include music, the lighting of a candle
in honor of each student and a memorial message.

"We hope this can be a time of remembrance and healing,"
said Thomas "Sparky" Reardon, dean of students. "We want
this to be a celebration of these students' lives and to
let people know that although we grieve for each of these,
it is OK to move on."
