That would be a long drive but it's do-able, unlike Boise, or even Mobile really. Maybe NIU would end up there a number of times with us being a little closer. The bad thing is it would be basically a home game for Ark State if they're in it.
It's 9 hours driving time from Chicago burbs to Jonesboro. As I believe we noted above, Jonesboro is fairly close to Memphis....my son is on the Ark State campus right now on a church mission trip (fixing up homes for needy families) for a week..their group went into Memphis Wednesday night to see a minor league baseball game. By the way, my son texted me that the Ark State dorms and campus are really nice.

If he is near Memphis and doesn't make it over to Beale Street and catch some live blues, I will have no choice but to chalk it up to poor parenting.

Funny thing is ULM is only an hour further away and they've played more games in the stadium in Little Rock the past decade than ASU. Figure they will be the bowl's #2 option.
