RE: Bleacher Report ranking loyalty of fan bases
What an idiot.

The list is titled "Most LOYAL fans", genius. Not "MOST" fans.

Any idiot can fall out of bed a Bama fan (and many do). Let them suck for a few years and watch them stay away in droves.

It takes grit to be a UAB (or Tulane, or Georgia State, or FAU) fan. We don't have bandwagon t-shirt fans.

Every last one of ours are diehards.

Idiot.

#80 Louisiana Tech

Quote:Louisiana Tech had the most explosive offense in the country last year, and the fans seemed to love it as the team had a 20 percent increase in attendance.

The Bulldogs averaged 25,841 fans per game. It will be interesting to see whether or not that number grows next season with a completely different team, including a new head coach.

If it does, this is a team that could be on the rise up these rankings next year.

RE: Bleacher Report ranking loyalty of fan bases
I don't understand how an SEC team --like Kentucky-- can continue to rank so high (#50) in this "fan loyalty" poll, when their attendance was DOWN 17% last year, to only 49K. For an SEC team --that has the biggest and the best coming to its stadium every week-- that sucks donkey's.

It's the same with Mississippi St at #37. Mississippi State suffered a decrease in attendance despite having an excellent season. What's "loyal" about that? MSU averaged 55,628 fans a game.

Every list ever published by Bleacher Report is worthless, but I'd argue an 0-12 team that averaged 25,000+ has the most loyal fans anywhere. SMTTT.

Exactly.

Loyalty is showing up when they suck.

The same CNN that has been reporting weather related causalities that they can't confirm? Bleacher Report suits them well.

I just use SI.com since SI evidently split from CNN and now that CNN uses that awful Bleacher Report.

Loyalty is showing up when they (aren't good).

Yeah, some of us have had a lot of practice at it.

How many Alabama/UT/etc fans would show up after losing to the Quantico Marines? If any of the fans of those programs want to talk to many of us about loyalty......first, show me your "scars" from losses, talk from memory for four hours straight about games that you should have won/had in the bag only to lose in the last in the last minute by insert unbelievable reason for loss .

If BleacherReport/SI/etc wants to rate fan loyalty, come sit with a few of us for a few seasons.

Makes more sense. This list is so subjective it is off the charts. Just more message board fodder. Nothing to see here everyone, move along to a better topic. 03-zzz

I paid my money and sat in the rain to watch a team that hadn't had a winning season in 8 years.

THAT's loyalty.

Pretty much everyone in this conference has sat through games/seasons a Texas/Alabama/Florida/Ohio State, etc fan could never imagine. I remember going to the last game of a 3-8 season where we lost by like 40 to a mediocre Louisiana Tech team (no offense) in the WAC to continue several losing seasons in a row. That's loyalty.
