I hadn't been on EP the last few weeks. Does anyone know how we're coming along with the turf work at The Rock?

I don't think they've started yet. I drove by yesterday and it still looked like just concrete.

I hope so. We'd be a laughing stock if they put one of the Oklahoma State versions on our field.

Well im sure its not that easy to get gold turf in thsi time of year.

I heard they were going to alternate dark green and light green every ten yards actually. I can't personally confirm that, though. Supposedly they are on schedule to finish by June 15, but then everything is always on schedule right up until it isn't. They aren't finished yet by any means.

The logo is still undecided, but it will definitely not include the angry eagle and will very likely include the words "Southern Miss" somewhere on it.

I do know that they added about three inches of height in the center to fix the drainage problem.

That is true. I've heard it from several people close to the program.

They're 12-0 on that turf too

I saw a flyer recently with the schedule on the front and a season ticket form on the back with a seating chart and such. The field on that picture had the "Southern Miss" script with the lines going across midfield.

I suppose "production" could have meant on the mail out but what I intended it to mean was putting it on the field. Yes, I know the black background wouldn't be there but, even professionally done, would not be a good look for the field to me. We already have "SOUTHERN MISS" in the end zones. Redundancy isn't attractive.

I don't care if we have Barney on the field as long as we win.....
