Another Letter of Intent Signee Wants to Bail
http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/col...7698.story

This one from Notre Dame, similar to the linebacker at Florida State. This is a disturbing trend and will cause chaos if not addressed. National Signing Day used to be the end of the madness but now it's not anymore.

Well at least he's sitting out a year.

Glad they didn't release him from his LOI. Make him sit a year.

"Integrity"......LOL.. LOL.... @ ND? That's hilarious. The death of student manager...Manti Teo. Integrity? That quote belongs on Dead Spin.

Unusual for me to be on Notre Dame's side but the NLI process is pretty important.

The player seems like a good guy but sometimes you have to act for the integrity of the process itself.

Day by day, integrity is being lost in this "sport."
Coaches, players and staff are all to blame.
It's a business, plain and simple.

day by day? integrity has been lost in this sport for years now. the fans are enablers of this though by continuing to support it.

Here's an article from SI on the whole National Letter of Intent issue. The comments after the article are good too (as long as you ignore the personal insults that always populate them).

Sometimes it's hard to know who to believe. While I agree that it seems more kids are jumping ship, occasionally there may be a good reason, plus they see how easily coaches change their allegiance.

I was kind of thinking the same thing. Kids sign the NLI only to have the coach they signed with jump ship for the next highest paying job.

If a kid decides not to go to ND - fine with me. Brian Kelley is a prime example of jumping ship time after time and leaving his teams in the lurch. I can't stand that guy ever since he left the MAC.
